DONALD BROMELAND, 78
September 5, 1923 - April 19, 2002

Donald Bromeland was born September 5, 2923, at Brush Creek Township, the son of Andrew and Allette (Mitbo) Bromeland. He served in the US Navy in the Submarine Service during World War II and was a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Submarine Veterans of WWII.

He married Thelma Clark on July 28, 1946, in Blue Earth. They farmed in Emerald Township until 1986 when they retired to Frost. He continued to work as a crop insurance adjuster until retirement in 1997.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Bromeland of Frost; son, Andrew (LeAnn) Bromeland of Salem, Oregon; son, Duane (Alice) Bromeland of Frost; daughter Virginia (Joel) Rudloff of Minneapolis; daughter, Kristin (Steve) Juliar of St. Clair; son, Ken Bromeland of Rake, Iowa; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Gertrude Mohr of Frost, and two brothers: Arnold Bromeland and Melvin (Betty) Bromeland, both of Frost, and many nieces and nephews.
